We are thrilled to announce that next month, in March, we will break ground on our 6th church — and this one is especially close to our hearts!

St. Johns Olootepes, located a few hours from Nairobi and about 50 minutes from the nearest town, has been worshiping under the shade of an Acacia tree for many years. While this tree has served as a place of refuge from the African sun, it also serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by these incredible people. Many of them gather on Sundays, sitting on the ground or small rocks, often enduring the heat of the midday sun. A few of the churches have been able to purchase plastic chairs, but for the most part, the experience of worship has been one of humble endurance.

For the past five years, under the dedicated leadership of Rev. Daniel Taporu, St. Johns Olootepes has seen remarkable growth and a deepening of faith. But despite their rapid growth and resilience, they have had no building to call their own — until now.

This is where we come in.

We are honored to partner with the amazing community at St. Johns Olootepes to bring them a physical place of worship, a much-deserved sanctuary where they can gather, worship, and continue to grow in their faith without the harshness of the sun. This building will serve as a space for community, connection, and transformation — a true testament to the strength of these beautiful people and their unwavering faith.

This project is more than just bricks and mortar. It is a symbol of hope for a community that has waited long enough for a place to call home. We are excited to be part of this next chapter, and we can’t wait to see the fruits of this partnership come to life.

We are grateful for all of you who have supported our mission up to this point. Your prayers, donations, and encouragement have made this possible. We are beyond excited to see what God has in store for St. Johns Olootepes as they begin this new journey in their own building.

Please join us in praying for this community and for the success of the project as we look forward to breaking ground in March! If you feel led to give, you can give at www.paypal.me/acaciaofhope, leaving the note “Acacia church.”

Stay tuned for more updates on our progress as we continue to build not just churches, but lasting impact in the communities we serve.

Together, we are making a difference.
