Acacia of Hope was founded in 2012 by a group of visionaries from Wapakoneta, Ohio. Today, our mission to change the world has grown and reached across the country.

ACACIA OF HOPE
Our name comes from the sacred African Acacia tree. Far away, its breathtaking silhouette displays Africa’s beauty, while its thorns show Africa’s strength. Acacia of Hope wants to continue that beauty and strength by sharing God’s love and giving opportunities to those in Kenya, most notably in Kibera.

AN IDEA
God put on founder Melissa's heart when she was 15 years old to help Africa. It was during her time living in Africa that Acacia of Hope begin to form.

STRETCHING
Acacia began with one program, Sponsorship, and now has five main programs that allows the organization to provide holistic support.

Since 2012, the Acacia team has steadily grown into an organization that allows people to be part of international ministry.
