A New Beginning for St. Johns Olootepes: From Shade to Sanctuary
For years, the community of St. Johns Olootepes, located just a few hours from Nairobi, has gathered under the shade of an Acacia tree to worship. While this tree provided relief from the sun, it also symbolized the challenges this resilient congregation faced, sitting on the ground or small rocks, enduring the heat each Sunday. Despite their rapid growth and unwavering faith, they had no building to call their own — until now.
On April 13th, St. Johns Olootepes will officially open the doors to their new church building. This long-awaited sanctuary will provide a safe, comfortable place for the community to worship, grow in their faith, and connect with one another without enduring the harsh midday sun.
Our Role in This Journey
We are honored to partner with the St. Johns Olootepes community to bring their dream of a physical place of worship to life. This church represents more than just bricks and mortar — it’s a testament to their strength, faith, and the power of community.
The new church will serve as a space for spiritual renewal, transformation, and fellowship, where the people of St. Johns Olootepes can come together in comfort and celebrate God’s goodness.
We invite you to join us in celebrating this new chapter for St. Johns Olootepes. This building is not just a structure; it’s a sanctuary where faith will continue to grow, and lives will be transformed.
