[ Providing Hope Through Food ]

The people of Kenya and of Kibera continue to stay strong during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the United States has begun the school year and found a new normal, Africa has not. This is largely because of the immense corruption third world countries have in their government system. Unfortunately, the government and its officials are making a lot of money from poverty-stricken areas especially during this pandemic. This is very evident in Kenya, and especially in Kibera Slum. In fact, the government has received billions upon billions of dollars for COVID-19 relief and little is seen from it. As you know from our updates on the ground the team has yet to see this true relief in Kibera.

Despite the government's actions, a variety of organizations like Acacia of Hope are banding together to continue to provide aid to those in Kibera. These people need us. Children are at home and at-home jobs are scarce, causing families to go hungry.

Our amazing community of givers have heard the prayers of those in need, and continue to give to so many families. As of today, our Acacia community has given out more than 500 food packs. These food packs are answered prayers for so many families. One parent wanted to tell our givers of our sponsorship food, "Mungu awabari, naawape nguvu, asanteni kwa chakula...."God bless you, give you strength, thank you for the food..." The smiles, the thank yous, and appreciation our team has received on behalf of our donors has been numerous.

Our goal is to provide 1000 food packs to those in Kibera Slum. We would love for you to join us! The food packs, which cost roughly $14, are filled with oil, ugali flour, chapati flour, beans, and soap for hand washing.

Acacia of Hope is not just a ministry. Acacia of Hope is YOUR ministry. We are not the world changers. YOU are the world changer.  This is not us. This is YOU.

If you feel led to give, you may give here: GIVE FOOD TO KENYA.

No words can express our gratitude. Thank you again to our kind givers. We are grateful. We are thankful. We are blessed to have you.
